Another book my wife bought me for Christmas is The Pentagon’s New Map by Thomas Barnett. This is an excellent book at explaining the new political landscape that results from globalization. Although I do not necessarily agree with him on everything, I found that his ideas are comprehensive, pragmatic, and already being implemented. After reading this book our global foreign policy becomes a little more understandable.
